It is with a heavy heart I share that I will be closing the gun shop. The doors will close for the last time on Saturday, May 18th. Until then, we will continue to be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm.
As you can imagine, this decision was not an easy one. When I lost Steve in January, I felt like my whole world was collapsing. Of course, my focus had to be on our children and making sure they were being taken care of, but the shop and our customers were always on my mind. Thankfully, Jim and Doreen graciously stepped in and handled the store operations to allow me to focus on being a mom and to grieve for the loss of my beloved husband, all while they were dealing with the loss of their only child. I will be forever grateful to them for their help and support during this most difficult time.
Family is everything and Madison's Bullet Stop was everything to Steve. He worked very hard to be the go-to gun shop for our customers and to keep the family business going as its fourth generation owner. With 50+ years in business and the overwhelming, heart-felt support I received from our customers, family, and friends, I intended to keep the shop open and continue to serve our community. Alas, after many conversations, meetings, and difficult decisions, I have been unable to find the right solution to keep the family gem going. It is with my utmost sincerity that I, as well as the rest of the Madison family, thank you for your business and support as we come to the end of an era.
Please join us on Saturday, May 18th, as we remember Steve and the good times had by all. Refreshments will be served.
In loving memory of Steve,
